Assignment: Spend one day documenting the use of your phone, if you have one: how much time (minutes, hours), spent doing what (communication for work, personal use, watching, shopping, etc.), and some idea of how much of your use is intentional, and how much is habitual (for instance, do you find yourself pulling your phone out before you realize you’ve done it?).
On Wednesday: Come to class with an abstract–this is a short summary and analysis of the assigned readings/videos (plus keeping track of your phone use). No longer than a page needed–briefly summarize and tell what you got out of the assigned material. And include the sources you’ve used.
