We’ll have three quizzes, occurring at the end of weeks 3, 6 and 9. Quizzes will test your knowledge of the content for a the three-week period from readings, online lecture material, and discussion forums, and your ability to apply what you have learned. The quiz will post by Saturday afternoon, and you’ll have until Tuesday midnight to complete it (Wednesday night for the first one). These will be timed, and once you start, you need to finish, so don’t open the quiz until you’re ready—that means you’ve done the readings and participated in/went through the discussion threads (you have two hours for each quiz—plenty of time). Also, make sure you have checked out any lecture material online before you take the quiz. There will usually be 3 to 5 questions, either short answer, multiple choice, or fill in the blank, and each quiz is worth 30 points. Quizzes will be available from the Canvas modules, look for reminders. They are open book, so take your time, and know where to find information for the previous three weeks before you begin. Note: No quiz covering week 10 to provide more time for researching and completing the footprint paper.

Quizzes will be worth 20% of your overall grade (90 pts, 3 x 30 pts)
