- National Academies (high on credibility, a prestigious organization of reputable scientists)
- Union of Concerned Scientists
- Rocky Mountain Institute (good for claims on energy-related issues)
- Open Secrets (following money in politics)
- Center for Media and Democracy (on front groups)
- realclimate.org (real info)
- Skeptic (mythbusters)
- Charity Navigator (not always what they say they are!)
- Center for Science in the Public Interest (mythbusters)
- DeSmog (great resource for people and organizations in climate science)
- Crap Detection (more generally understanding how BS works)
- LittleSis (watchdog organization, but not a watchdog like Big Brother)
