Haiku threads

Japanese poetry that consists of three lines and a specific number of syllables per line: 5-7-5.

Haiku: Poetry?
No room for verbosity,
Less is sometimes more.

So in even-numbered weeks through week 10, you will need to submit your haiku. Not optional–remind each other!

Since you are being asked to capture the essence of a reading or readings from the previous two weeks (your choice), in a more literary and poetic way, a little time for percolation and processing would suggest closer to the due date will give ideas a better chance to percolate. Also, provide maybe a few sentences explaining what you’ve tried to do with your haiku.

You’ll see the deadlines in the modules for these, so use the module as a guide for assignments due that week. The only way you lose points? Not respecting the haiku 5-7-5 pattern, so make sure you’ve counted the syllables!

25 points possible, 5 x 5 points (weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10)
